HOOD RIVER, Ore. (January 16, 2006) - DAKINE is proud to announce the
addition of Lukas Huffman and Leanne Pelosi to its International Snowboard
Team.
Lukas Huffman, 27, joins the DAKINE International Snowboard Team in the
midst of what could be his most creatively documented season to date. Known
for his highly regarded segments in the famed Mack Dawg and Kingpin films,
Huffman recently joined forces with Jess Gibson, the former Robot Food
mastermind, to create the film ir77. The film and accompanying book,
sponsored by DAKINE and due to release in fall 2006, are the result of a
collaboration with over 40 photographers, artists and riders from nine
countries around the world.
"I like DAKINE," says Huffman. "They are a no B.S. operation with really
great products and really good people - that's all I need. Oh yeah - and I
need warm hands." It looks like Huffman is off to another mind blowing
season. In addition to DAKINE, Huffman's sponsors include L1, Nitro, Eesa
and Bluebird Wax.
Twenty five-year-old Canadian, Leanne Pelosi, also joins the DAKINE
International Snowboard Team fresh off her 2005 streak of media awards and
contest wins. Transworld Snowboarding named her 'Female Rider of the Year'
and 'Reader's Choice'; Snowboarder Magazine also awarded her '2005 Female
Rider of the Year.' Pelosi's 2005 contest results were just as impressive
and included first place finishes in the Gravity Games - Women's Rail Jam;
U.S. Open - Women's Rail Jam; and the Vans Cup at Tahoe - Women's Rail Jam.
Pelosi also took second place in the U.S Open Slopestyle competition.
"I'm really excited to become a part of the DAKINE family. It's a quality

Expect another impressive segment from Pelosi in the 2006 Mischief Films
movie due to hit local snowboard shops in fall 2006. In addition to DAKINE,
