Big Sky Pipe Jam- Big Sky, MT

Big Sky- MT

Big Jumps. Big Pipe. Big Air. Big Sky.

Our pipe's been open for a couple weeks now and it's getting better with every cut. As it now stands the walls are just under 18-feet and the uber-pipe is about 450 feet long. With the proper speed, pumping and bravado you can get 6 good hits in the pipe, and already a lot of loc dogs have been boosting over-head airs.
It is indeed a new era for snowboarders in Montana.
This Sunday we'll be hosting the first of three pipe competitions. The event will follow a fairly informal jam format and it's only $5 to enter one of the comps or $10 for all three, plus you get a hot dog and all the condiments you can choke down. World Boards of Bozeman is providing prizes, Pope will be operating the grill and weather forecasts are calling for warmer temperatures on Sunday, so it should be a great event.
In other terrain park news; we recently reinstalled the wall ride in the Ambush park, we built a behemoth of a fun-box, that goes, up-flat-down-flat-down, and measures 75 feet in length. We'll be rebuilding almost all our jumps over the next couple of days and should have better jump lines in both the Ambush and Swiftcurrent parks by the weekend. We're also planning on building a quarter-pipe at the bottom of our Ambush park sometime in the very near future.
Right now we have 42 features between our two parks and we'll be adding a couple more before the weekend.
Hope you're having fun out there.

Pope, Jake, Junior, Jed, Tipton, Tyrel, Isaac, Luke and Liam.
