Hi there!
Who can tell me where the best snow is in Colorado? Because I'm coming over to Denver from the Netherlands and I'll be able to snowboard a couple of days in the first week of April 2006.
Any tips/ideas maybe? I've checked out some websites about the Keystone area and Breckenridge for instance and it all looks very good to me. Maybe someone could tell me which area is nice to hang out with other people and where I'll get to enjoy some nice powder. Of course keeping in mind best value for money :-)
Thanks in advance! Terence
Copper
It's in Summit County, about and hour or so from Denver and also close to Breck, Keystone, A-Basin and Vail . You should be able to find some decent deals too.

copper
yea copper is sick. its 80 miles from denver, easy to get to, and a siiick mountain.
Tough Question
The best snow, that's tough. Ask 10 people and you'll get 10 different answers. I've only riden Beaver Creek & Vail. I prefer the apres ski at Beaver Creek but I can tell you that Vail offers a hugh amount of terrain, from park, groomers, mogels, to ungroomed bowls (If you're into back country and it hasn't snowed in a few days, the T-Bar to Vail's Outer Mongolia is worth the hassle). I've riding there for 10 years and am now only begining to look at other areas for a change in venue. Vail is probably the most expensive but you won't be sorry you went. I've heard A-Basin is the locals choice but is challanging (not for beginners). I'm planning to ride it next week. Here's a link to a good map of the area with a break down of resorts - http://www.goamericanwest.com/colorado/ski/home.shtml
Bottem line: I think you'll do well where ever you end up in the area, don't sweat it too much. Good luck, have fun!
Loveland
If it's a weekend, Loveland. Weekday? Breck or Copper. All 3 are close to Denver.
Snowboarding Saves Lives!
Thanks!
Hi all,
Thanks so much for you input! I'll be checking out some websites and then make my pick, I'll be somewhere out there anyway so it's just a matter of choice now.
