Happy St. Patty's day!
All I have to say is: Groundhog's Day all over again, but this time with a little more planning. More powder, but instead of us hitting the slopes at 2pm, we went up at noon. We should have gone up first thing, though, because it snowed pretty good up at the peak.

Our first run was great. We went to our secret place, where there's always pow turns, and it was deeper than ever. On the second run, I took Pancho over to these really good trees, where our local buddy Yoda took us to last week. Dropping in was great, but it was heavily tracked out.

Those trees dumped us into another glade. We dropped in, even though there weren't many tracks leading through. All I can say is that it was chocked full of lots of hidden treasures and closely resembled the Ewok Forest in Star Wars.

Around about 2pm (the time we usually leave the house), the weather started to break, and the flat light at the peak gave way to sunshine.

After Pancho's days of glory in front of the camera, it was my turn. Unfortunately, even though Pancho is a self-proclaimed digi-Elf pro, using my camera was a bit different, and he kept missing the action. Oh well. Here's a nice shot of me going down on a pow turn.

After we finished shredding, it was time to explore the Apres scene in Whistler village. The Four seasons was serving some really good specials. Check this out: Mixed drink: $5, Sushi roll: $5, Seafood sampler (sushi roll and oysters) $5. All prices Canadian. Not too bad. A hundred dollars later, and we were stuffed with sushi, and plenty of alcohol.

Now, it's on to this...green beer. What an invention.
