I fell in love with snowboarding more than 15 years ago growing up in San Diego and riding at Snow Summit. After high school all I could think about was snowboarding so I dropped out of community college and moved in with friends that were living in Mammoth with a loft for rent. I spent the next four years snowboarding every chance I got until I decided to go back to school. I moved to Boston and got my degree in physics from Boston College and am now working on my Ph.D. in physics at Florida State University. I hope to end up living somewhere that I can do physics and snowboard.

I also like to camp, hike, mountain bike and kayak.
