`Im Katie, three brothers, middle child, daughter of a movie maker dad who died when i was 17 playing bball on his lunch break. I go to school in cali in the fall and back to upstate ny for the winter, but know that the westcoast is probably where its at boarding, but home is where the heart is i guess.

Snowboarding makes me feel free. I skiied my whole life then started at 20 and its the only thing I can do for hours on end and not stop, and keep pushing myself. NOthing bothers me when Im snowboarding.
I have a boyfriend, and we fight a lot.Like, a real lot. And the only thing that can make up stop no matter what and make us instantly better is snowboarding. Maybe it sets him free too.I dont know why i wrote about that except its one of the things i love about snowboarding i guess. It just makes everything else in teh world stop and its just the feeling.
I just want to be the best I can be , and would like to compete someday, even if im already 26. i think i have potential.
I love it more than anything in the world. Its the only place i feel really me. As i said, on the mountain, i feel free. In a confusing and messed up world i feel lucky to have found something like that.
