I learned to snowboard at Arapahoe Basin in 1988 on a Burton Cruzer 165 while standing at a mighty five-foot-five inches tall. I was hooked instantly. The rest of my pre-teen life was spent thinking of ways to further my time on the snow...I live in the mountains now and ride a lot. I spend my "adult life" working to keep myself in this amazing environment.

I think it is a bit sad in a way what has happened to snowboarding (from when I started) but hey that's just one jerk's opinion.

I enjoy hiking out an empty ridge with two or three other friends for a good forty to fifty minutes, stopping and looking around at the vassness while scoping lines, doing a saftey check and proceeding onwards.

I used to paint but have not done that in years. I miss it.
