Northwave and Drake are proud to announce that Seth Huot has joined the teams for boots and bindings. Formerly on Northwave and Drake in ’03-’04 Seth rejoins the teams with a two year signed contract.

Known for his versatile riding style on street rails and backcountry booters, Huot makes a perfect match for the two teams. Seth says, “I’m excited to be back on Northwave and Drake because the comfort of Northwave and the support of Drake go hand and hand… And a boot binding combo that works as one is the most important thing to me”.

Northwave is proud to announce that Nate Bozung has joined the team and will be riding Northwave boots, Drake bindings, and Bakoda Design Logic accessories. On and off the team since a grom, Nate has moved to join his film accomplice, Matty Ryan, to ride on the Northwave brand teams.

(Seattle, WA) - We are proud to announce that Alexis Waite has been added to the Northwave Boots, Drake Bindings, and Bakoda Design Logic Accessories International Pro Teams. Alexis has been pro for the last 3 years and within that time has established herself within the snowboarding community as being a top female professional rider.

Although Alexis spent most of the summer traveling, coaching, and interning at Roxy for street wear design, she also had time to win a sweet new Rolex in the 2006 Abominable Snow Jam for “Best Trick”. For the most part, Alexis resides in Salt Lake City but like most pro snowboarders, she will be traveling, filming, competing, and training around the world… wherever there’s snow.

Having parts in Misschief Films’ “As If” and this year’s “Ro Sham Bo”, Alexis can be found filming as well as competing. This year she intends to compete in the Roxy Chicken Jams, X-Games, Vans Cup, and the US Open. And as if that’s not a full season of shredding, Alexis is a key player in the new all women’s snowboard production company, Runway Films with Leanne Pelosi.

Northwave North America is proud to announce that it has a new Executive Vice President, EJ Riordan, for its snowboard division. Riordan will be handling the snow side of the Seattle based subsidiary, for Northwave Boots, Drake Bindings, Bakoda Design Logic Accessories and Venue Snowboards.

Previously a resident of Connecticut, EJ has moved to Pacific Northwest to make some good changes. Before his current position at NNA, Riordan was the Business Unit Manager and National Sales manager at Select Licensing Group. And, of course not new to the snow industry, EJ comes with prior experience and knowledge from his days at Dynastar, where he was the Business Operations Manager.

Well, I am the proud owner of the new Decade SL boots, size 11. I figured I would post my initial thoughts on this boot.

First, the construction of this boot rivals the best I have ever seen. It is superbly finished and well constructed, no flailing threads anywhere, and has a very solid feel. The toe-box is noticeably larger than previous northwave models, and very comfy. Styling is really clean, especially compared to the useless crap and colors thrown onto many other boots this season (see the 04/05 DC Judge vs. 05/06 Judge for an example of "if it ain't ugly, redesign it until it is"). Just as with exotic cars, modern furniture, and men's suits, Italians seem to know when to say when where style is concerned.
