If you missed the Portland event held in Ankeny Alley, next to US Outdoor Store last fall, this is your chance to catch a glimpse of the action. PORTLAND, ORE. (Apr. 8, 2008)-- The usually sunny April skies were obscured with snow flurries at this years Vegetate Competition at Mt. Hood Meadows. Josh Dirksen made the drive up from Bend to slash pow on the Sick Stick while Matt Ladley and Ally Carroll spun and grabbed their way to first place in the halfpipe competition.

Vail, Colorado (Feb. 11th, 2008)— Salomon Team riders Scotty Arnold and Jamie Anderson each took second place in the men’s and women’s Steel and Sky Rail competition at the Honda Session in Vail, Colorado.

The rail set up looked massive and featured high speed jibs, a hip, horseshoe shaped bowl, C box and various shaped kinked rails, surrounded by spectators who braved the cold Colorado night.

Scotty Arnold made the 10 hour drive from Park City to Vail to frontside 270 the flat down rail, throw a backside rodeo in the horseshoe bowl, front board the C box, nollie back tail 270 and take home $5000 for his buttery style on his Arnie 5000.

Salomon Snowboards accepted the Volvo SportsDesign Award for Eco Design in the boardsports category, in Munich, Germany yesterday.

The design award was presented to Salomon for the SickStick. The SickStick features Salomon’s new patented bamboo sandwich construction process, driven by the goal to improve the performance of Salomon products, while significantly reducing the ecological cost of snowboard production.

who likes this board? what is good and what is bad about it?

Hey does anybody know anything about it and the rubber side wall? I am thinking about getting it for jibbin so i will be getting the 15o.

Looking to get some boots that cut the size down to fit on my board so that i don't have to go to a wide board. i know about boxertech but not that intrigued by the boxers or the H.O.D. the salomon boots look pretty solid but i am still not sure which pair to get (f20's, f22's, or FDB's) if anyone wants to give their input on these or if anyone knows of any other brands to recommend that have a pretty good all mountain boot (not to stiff but still supportive, but still pretty decent in the park) that minimizes the footprint.

I just read a killer review of the Salmon Drift in Outdoor. Its looks like the tech on the 08 Salomon line rips! Anyone demoed this board yet?
