WESC Welcomes Darrell Mathes

WESC Mathes

WeAretheSuperlativeConspiracy + Darrell Mathes: Weactivist = TRUE!!

Stockholm, SE (Feb. 12th, 2008) -WeSC is proud to announce that what once was a mutual and distant admiration, has been made a formal affair, with the one and only Darrell Mathes welcomed as WeSC’s latest Weactivist! Chosen to represent WeSC and their Street Fashion program, Mathes will act as an informal ambassador for the brand flying the flag of WeSC near and far! Yeah!

“Now that I’m officially a Weactivist, all I can say that I’m very happy to be onboard. I’m definitely stoked to be with a company that understands street fashion in a way that reflects my identity and style of living,” says Darrell, who was invited to join the Superlative Conspiracy by fellow Weactivist and snowboarder, Jussi Oksanen, who ads, “If there was ever a “right guy” to ride for WeSC, it’s Darrell. It’s great to have him as a part of the WeSC family!

"Horse Play" brought to you by WESC

Stockholm, 31rd of July 2006:

Finally the bible of streethorsing is here. "Horse Play - A Streethorsing Retorspective" is brought to you by WeSC - WeAretheSuperlativeConspiracy. 200 pages of the best action out there, 200 pages that sum up the whole vibe of this urban movement. Read it carefully and you will get the whole picture of what streethorsing is al about!

City streets scream with neon signs, shopping window displays, asphalt, subways, buses, cars, corporate buildings and husky dark backyards. All this invites subcultures of all kinds to use the land and buildings of the cities in many different ways. Skateboarders are using the architecture, street artists uses the walls of the public room and street performers are taking advantage of the crowds stressing around in the streets. The cities are truly a melting pot of urban culture.

Streethorsing is mixing all these ideas - using the streets together with your best mate to express the inner soul of your art form.

But unlikely, streethorsing will never get the mainstream attention and will never get as commercial as skateboarding, and in general streethorsers don't scream for public recognition as most of the street artists and to put on an act in front of a unknown crowd has nothing to do with streethorsing, They're very look alike on the surface - but still miles away from each others at heart. Streethorsing is all about to stay 110% true to your passion!

WESC Opens Concept Store In NYC

WESC 2

WESC – April 13, 2006 – WESC WeAretheSuperlativeConspiracy,Inc celebrated the launch of the WESC New York concept store at 282 Lafayette Street last night. The evening began with an exclusive store reception, then moved to Home where Weactivists Stretch Armstrong and Steve Aoki spun to a crowd of over 500 people, including Jason Lee, Mike Myers, and many more.

Why New York? CEO/Co-Founder Greger Hagelin says “New York is New York. It is one of the cultural epicenters of the world when it comes to street wear, music and street art/culture.” The creation of a New York store was part of the Superlative Conspiracy from the outset and began development in January 2005. More than an ordinary store, WESC integrated our philosophy, mentality and personality into the design. In order to accomplish this goal, we searched out the right designer; someone with street credibility and a shared vision. Our choice was Steve Lewis and Chris Sheffield from SLDesign.

We Are The Superlative Conspiracy is proud partner of The Arctic Challenge

At a very late stage and with less than a week before the start of The Arctic Challenge WE steps in as a partner of The Arctic Challenge, held in Lofoten in northern Norway.

- We talked with T.A.C. already in October, but then our plans were to become a partner of the event for next year. That changed when TAC needed support this year. We made a quick decision to start the partnership and here we are, says Greger Hagelin CEO of We International.

- The people at WE have always liked The Arctic Challenge. We like the concept of it as well as the way they organise it. And of course it adds even more respect when you know that Terje Håkonsen is the founder of the event. T.A.C. was voted as the best event/contest in Onboard Magazine 10 year‚s anniversary issue, so it‚s quite clear that we‚re not alone to like the event, says David Hedman a former snowboard professional and marketing director at WE.
