College Night at Mountain High: A Rocking College Party

Wrightwood, CA (November 20, 2008) – Mountain High is bringing a rocking college party to the mountains this winter with its brand new program, College Night at Mountain High. College Night at Mountain High is a series of three Thursday night parties created for Southern California college students and will take place from 5-10pm on December 11, 2008, February 12, and March 12, 2009.

Mountain High Begins Snowmaking in Anticipation of Opening Day

Wrightwood, CA (November 5, 2008) – Mountain High began its first snowmaking operations of the season late last night. Within a 10 hour window the snowmaking crew laid down several inches of new snow on four trails at the West Resort. Temperatures are forecasted to drop into the twenties tonight and snowmaking is expected to continue whenever possible. An opening date has not been set, however the start to Southern California’s winter season could take place within the next several days, weather permitting. Long term forecasts are calling for possible natural snowfall beginning Sunday with potential for frequent Pacific storms and snow through mid-November.

Mountain High Launches 2008/09 Website

Wrightwood, CA (October 27, 2008) – Mountain High has launched its 2008/09 website, front loading the season with a brand new look and tech additions such as a deal finder and upgraded video player. The acclaimed easy navigation and layout of mthigh.com return, along with gas calculator, live webcams, interactive trail map, and up-to-the-minute weather and snow conditions, among other features.

With Mountain High’s new deal finder, riders can find the best money saving ticket deals based on their ability level, number of days on-snow, and night riding preference. Also new, the site’s video player was developed by MobileRider and features Mountain High video content such as the 2008/09 park feature video and a classic season pass spoof.

Faultline Terrain Park at Mountain High Doubles Production Budget, Introduces Two New Prinoth Groomers, Announces Team

Wrightwood, CA (October 8, 2008) – Faultline Terrain Park at Mountain High has doubled its production budget for 2008/09 resulting in a wide range of new features that include a massive 20’x20’ wallride. In addition, two new park-specific Prinoth grooming machines costing over $800,000 have been added to ensure more consistent snow products throughout the park. Mountain High has also announced the 2008/09 Team that includes local pros Laurie Currier and Cory Cronk.

Mountain High Welcomes New Additions to Marketing Department

Wrightwood, CA (October 2, 2008) – Mountain High is pleased to welcome Kim Hermon and Laura Johnson to the marketing department for the 2008/09 winter season. Hermon has recently been named senior marketing consultant for Mountain High and will assist the marketing department in all functions. Johnson will manage day-to-day marketing operations, in addition to all public relations and communications functions, in her role as marketing manager.

Prior to joining Mountain High, Hermon had been sales director for five years and most recently assistant director of marketing for five years at Big Bear Mountain Resorts, Bear Mountain and Snow Summit, in Big Bear Lake, California. During that time, she worked vigorously to gain well-rounded experience in a broad area of resort business.
