Signal and Director Jason Farrell Shoot the Final “Can’t Wait For Opening Day?” Commercial

Airing Now On Fuel TV.

The Lodge, CA – Signal teams up with Musician/Director Jason Farrell to create a campaign to get us all fired up for opening day. Limited budgets, tons of packing peanuts, and Jake Olson-Elm having to shave his face at least four times against his will, led to a creative campaign from a brand that is making a difference. The theme? While you’re at work dreaming of opening day, Signal has the dream job of building snowboards.

Signal Can't Wait For Winter

Signal Can't Wait for Winter?! from Signal Snowboards on Vimeo

Summer comes and snowboard fanatics go into a mild depression. Most even make it their mission to find a job that will allow them to snowboard all winter. Either way, all of us at Signal understand… We feel your pain… Now with the new season just weeks away, riders will do just about anything to get their first run in.

It's Official The kids Love Signal!

Signal’s new Park Series wins prestigious top board model of the summer award at HCSC!

“Signal won the prestigious top board model of the summer award, with the
Park Series. The Demo Center could not keep these boards in stock with many campers requesting them as soon as they showed up at camp. This evaluation shows that Signal has the highest brand utility by a large percentage. It was often that Signal boards were completely out of stock. The recurring demo of these soft, easy to ride, boards, kept campers coming back, telling their friends to get on some Signal too.” - HCSC 2008 Demo Report

Signal High Cascade Comp

Summer is a special time with sun, birds, and magical clouds shaped like flying unicorns. Every summer parents from around the world send their young ones off to camp so they can have a week of walking around the house naked and eating strawberries off of one another (this is how your little sister was born.) One such camp nestled in the woods of Oregon is known to the snowboard world as High Cascade. High Cascade has long been the epicenter of summer snowboard fun and progression, and when we were given the opportunity to host a mind bending snowboard competition there we couldn’t resist. So we packed our moldy snowboard gear into the car and made our way down from the head office in Seattle for a couple days in Government Camp. When we woke up it was kind of misty and after experiencing a rainy day one day prior we were doubtful our star studded event was going to take place. However, the calls and text messages started pouring in informing us that up on the mountain the sun was shining and the kids where ready to go ballistic! Signal Am and Jim Morrison look alike Jake Olson-Elm was there blasting of the hip and getting the kids fired up about wining a Signal Snowboard.

Signal DBR Barbecue

Like a page ripped from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Willie Wonka’s candy shop —or rather Signal’s snowboard factory—was opened up to the public on Wednesday July 23rd 2008.

In an unprecedented event, Signal opened its doors to the industry so that accounts and friends could experience first hand just how they design, build, and test snowboards all in one day.

Signal’s factory, aka The Lodge, just finished installing their first on-site test feature. The set up includes a flat bar down the right side, a round bar down the center, and a ledge down the left side complete with pool coping and tiles.

Chris Dufficy Joins The Signal Family

That’s right, Duff’s on Signal.

Though we’re only into the first seven months of 2008, holy crap, things are good. We’ve just finished our first demo tour of Japan, Jake’s learned to shave, The Lodge is cranking out new board designs; including the Park Rocker, AND NOW CHRIS DUFFICY JOINS THE TEAM!

With his smooth style and positive attitude, this Vancouver BC resident is as loved for his smile as he is for his big mountain riding and progressive rail skills. Throughout his coaching career at Camp of Champions, and across editorial pages and in video bangers like “Return of The Wildcats” and “True Life,” Dufficy makes the shred life look easy, fun and friendly. “Snowboarding’s one sport that you definitely have to pay to play, says Duff, “I’ve been through so many life and death experiences and I still keep coming back for more. There are things in my mind that I still want to try; things that I can’t even explain! You’ve just got to want it; love for snowboarding (and coffee! :) ) can always make success a reality! I feel at home with Signal.”
